Pere Lachaise and Buttes du Chaumont
Last Sunday (I know, I’m a little late in updating this), Philippe and I went around Paris and did a few things:

Pere Lachaise cemetery, where Jim Morrison is buried. It’s almost like a little town, with all those above-ground crypts.

Jim Morrison’s grave

Then we headed up north to one of the few parks in Paris where you can actually sit on the grass. It is GORGEOUS. It was commissioned by Napoleon in the 1850’s, and was converted from an old rock quarry.

The view from the top of the cliff on the island is pretty cool - you can see Sacre Coeur.

And as you can see, it's pretty high up.

It has a few waterfalls.

And a cave, too, complete with stalactites.
I don't normally get this excited over a park but I just thought it was gorgeous, and it's crazy that it's right in the middle of the city.
